UK inflation hits 41-year high

Inflation in the UK has not cooled down despite the government’s energy price support program. In October, UK CPI recorded the highest increase in 41 years.

Inflation in the UK rose to 11.1% in October, the highest level in 41 years and well above the 10.7% forecast from Reuters. In October, households are paying 88.9% more on average than a year ago for electricity, gas and other fuels.
