Wall Street fell for 4 consecutive sessions

US stocks continued to decline on Monday (December 19), as fears of a recession grew and investors worried that the time for the year-end rally was coming to an end.

Ending Monday’s session, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 162.92 points (or 0.49%) to 32,757.54 points. The S&P 500 fell 0.9% to 3,817.66, and the Nasdaq Composite lost 1.49% to 10,546.03, pressured by a 3.35% drop in Amazon shares.
