World gold rose after Fed meeting minutes

Gold prices extended gains on Wednesday (November 23), when minutes from the US Federal Reserve’s November policy meeting showed that most members chose to slow down the pace of interest rate hikes.

Closing the session on Wednesday, the spot gold contract advanced 0.6% to 1,750.38 USD/oz. Gold futures added 0.6% to $1,750.90 an ounce.
